History:
Derived from the Beagle Pup, the Scottish Aviation Bulldog was designed as a primary and aerobatic military trainer. N708BD, former RAF XX708, was built in 1975 and was delivered to the RAF on 04 NOV 1975. The aircraft was retired from service in 2000 having last served with the Southampton University Air Squadron.
Following retirement from military service, the aircraft was imported to the United States by a former RAF Flight Lieutenant who operated her for several years in Southern California. The Bulldog was acquired by Steve Ritzi on 24 DEC 2004 where she was based at Ramona (KRNM) and Gillespie Field (KSEE). The aircraft was ferried to Tampa, FL in the spring of 2007 and is now based at Tampa North Aero Park (X39).
